Now, Rain’s earned wage access platform is integrated directly into Microsoft Teams through Viva Connections, giving employees real-time visibility into their earned wages inside the tools they already use every day.
Microsoft Viva Connections is a customizable app within Microsoft Teams that serves as a digital front door for an organization. It brings together key resources such as SharePoint content, internal communications, daily work tasks, holiday schedules and operational tools in a single, mobile-friendly experience.
Originally designed with frontline workers in mind, Viva Connections makes it easier for employees to stay connected on the move, without needing to navigate multiple apps or systems.
Viva Connections includes a set of out-of-the-box dashboard cards that organizations can configure based on their business needs. Employers can also introduce new cards and experiences to support specific workflows, systems and employee priorities.
This flexibility is what makes the Rain integration such a strong fit.
Rain recently announced a new integration with Microsoft Teams that allows employees to view their available earned wage balance directly within their daily workspace. This makes Rain one of the first earned wage access providers available within Microsoft Teams.

Through Viva Connections, Rain appears as a dashboard card alongside other commonly used cards such as payroll information, scheduling and shifts. Employees can see their available earned wage balance without searching for the Rain app or switching contexts.
Because many employees already check Viva Connections daily, adding Rain creates a familiar, frictionless experience with no learning curve.

Here is how this experience comes together for an employee.
On a Tuesday afternoon, John realizes a $250 utility bill is due on Thursday. His bank balance is low, and his next payday is still more than a week away. In a traditional workplace, this situation often leads to stress, uncertainty or reliance on costly alternatives.
